The new 6-seater Spitzeck chairlift

Carinthia's first Doppelmayr D-Line has been providing maximum comfort in the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area since the winter season 2020/21

At Bad Kleinkirchheim Bergbahnen, a large investment was made in summer 2020, such as the Active Park and Mountain Yoga Trail at the mountain station of the Brunnach Biosphere Park cable car. At the same time, work was carried out at full speed on the implementation of Carinthia's most modern and Austria's second year-round roller bob run - the Kaiserburg Bobsleigh.

The Bad Kleinkirchheimer Bergbahnen started the largest construction project of the last 5 years.
On 22 July 2020, the cable car negotiations with the Federal Ministry were successfully concluded. Immediately afterwards, on 23 July, the first construction work was started. At the same time as the construction of the cable car, the adjacent piste and snow facility areas were also adapted. An ambitious schedule had to be adhered to - therefore the group of companies would like to thank primarily the local property owners and the federal and provincial authorities involved, and in particular the planning company Salzmann Ingenieure ZT GmbH, Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH, eb&p Umweltbüro GmbH, as well as all the construction companies involved and the employees of Bad Kleinkirchheimer Bergbahnen.

Maximum comfort for guests through state-of-the-art chairlift technology
The new high-performance chairlift from Doppelmayr can accommodate up to six people. It impresses with maximum comfort and a functional design that offer a quiet and relaxing journey. Optimum safety conditions are ensured by automated mechanisms, such as the patented RPD (rope position detection) system. In an emergency, the chairlift is slowed down or brought to a complete halt.

The new chairlift system has a transport capacity of 2,300 people per hour. In these times of social distancing, the new 6-seater chairlift will offer ski guests a quick, safe and comfortable way of getting from one point to the next. The new Spitzeck chairlift will serve two main runs (Spitzeck and Mallnock) from the coming winter season and will function as a high-performance connecting lift for the Nockalm/Scharte ski area.
