Panorama winter hiking in Kärnten
Starting at the Kirchenplatz in Feld am See you take a northward turn following the Seestraße. This well accessible route does not come with significant differences in height and takes you to the hamlet of Erlach at the end of the Brennsee. The hike back to Feld am See takes you on the Promenadenweg along the Brennsee. Particularly in winter the romantically situated Brennsee is a wonderful winter hiking destination. It also offers outstanding ice skating opportunities!

Bad Kleinkirchheim – St. Oswald circular trail
From the Brunnach Nationalparkbahn along Angerbichlweg and when the trail forks to the left, continuing on the Mallnockweg to Kirchleitn-Dorf Großwild all the way to the Oswin Moro trail. From there you continue past the Wegerstadl till you reach the Wasserweg. Following the Wasserweg past Alte Schmiede, all the way to St. Oswalder Straße. Using the sidewalk of St. Oswalder Straße up to the Kirchleitn-Dorf Kleinwild, continueing on the left before traversing the piste at the Hinteregger Inn. Then turn right and take the short hiking trail down to the starting point.

Start: By car to the parking lot of the Brunnach Nationalparkbahn in St. Oswald.
The Sonnenweg starts opposite the Trattlerhof hotel and along the sunny side of the valley leads to the Oswaldbach creek via various meadows. After crossing the creek, you continue approx. 150m above the Almrausch hotel, following the creek up through a small forest and past the St. Kathrein church.
Continue to St. Oswalder Straße and after 100 m take a right down to the Gutzingerhof and the church. After crossing St. Oswalder Straße you pass the Hubermühle and continue to the St. Ulrich church. The trail continues eastwards half-slope behind the church. Follow the road downwards for approx. 250 m till you reach the main road (bus stop). The Ski-Thermenbus then takes you back to the starting point of your winter hiking tour.
Variant “back on foot “: Follow the sidewalk direction Kaiserburg up to the gas station, via the large parking lot to the Kaiserburgbahn and behind the Hubertus house continue on the valley trails till you reach the Kirchheimerhof hotel, then head down to the Kärntnerhof hotel, along the valley trail through the Kurpark all the way back to the starting point (Trattlerhof hotel).

Three mountain tours
Thanks to their special topography, the mountains around Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Nockberge offer ideal winter hiking conditions. The Nocken, the slightly elevated ridges, also attract snow shoe hikers with leisurely routes.
