The “Best Austrian Summer Cable Cars” quality seal is an initiative run by the Austrian Cable Car Association within the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, bringing together the pioneers of Austrian tourism in the mountains during the summer.

For over 20 years, members have been dedicated to enhancing the Alpine summer experiences and promoting responsible tourism through innovation and the sharing of expertise – benefiting everyone.

Did you know that...?

Established in 2001, the seal of quality was created to support the sustainable development of summer tourism.
All members must undergo the recertification process every three years.
There are five experience specializations: Adventure, Family, Panorama & Nature Experience, Pleasure, Art & Culture.
The initiative currently has 82 members offering 100 themed mountain experiences.
The Bad Kleinkirchheimer Bergbahnen are among five summer cable cars in Carinthia and are officially certified in the “Family Mountain” category.

Since summer 2024, we have also been part of the “One for Mountain and Valley” campaign – a collaboration between the Best Austrian Summer Mountain Cable Cars and the KlimaTicket Österreich.
